The Gonja Chief of Central region Chief Eliasu Yahaya "Kanyiti" with the support of the Gonja Chief of Ofankor, Chief Ibrahim Mohammed "Nungbanso" as part of their central regional tour, made a whistle stop at Winneba on Tuesday 10th August, 2021 to check on the Gonjaland students on University of Education,Winneba campus.
In their speech they made students understood that, they began the tour from Bawjiase through to "Ajumanko" Campus before getting to Winneba.
They assured the association of their support whenever they are called on and also asked the students leadership of "NAGS" to share with them their challenges.
The students leadership of "NAGS" stated some key challenges as follows:
1. The need for "NAGS-UEW" to get a rented apartment to accommodate students from Gonjaland that have gained admission to UEW, Winneba.
2. Less privileged continue Students support.
3. Public address System for the Association.
4. The need for Honorable Members to honour invitations to Seminars and other educational programs organised by NAGS-UEW.
5. Jerseys and footballs for the Association team.
After the interactions, the chief of central region declared his support to "NAGS-UEW" anytime he is called upon and pledge that, with other stakeholders' support, they would help "NAGS-UEW" overcome their challenges and live comfortably in a better environment for their studies and other related activities.
