Soon, the first years in the Senior High School will resume schools. The successful candidates from the 2020 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) are anxiously waiting to know the schools in which they have been place. Expectations are that in few days to come the school placement will be released by the Computerized School Selection and Placement System(CSSPS) Secretariat.
In line with this, management of the Ghana Education Service has announced the new opening of the JA Kuffuor Senior High School into the public system. According to a letter signed by the deputy Director General, Anthony Boateng, the school has been completed with all structures in place and ready for the 2020/2021 academic year. The school is located in Sokoban, Kumasi in the Ashanti region.
The letter is intended to notify the Free SHS Secretariat to add the school into the public school system. Again there is also the need for the first batch of students to be placed in the school by the CSSPS.
The letter also indicates that the school is expected to the following programmes;
2. Home Economics
3. General Arts.
It is not clear when other programmes will be introduced since the letter categorically state that all structures are in place. However, on residential status, the school will admit both Day and Boarding students.
