The Vice President, Dr. Mahmoud Bawumia has seen a lot of bashing from Ghanaians for promising the University of Ghana Business School that he's going to donate some number of laptops to them to help their agenda of one student one initiative.
The Vice President promised 100 laptops to the University of Ghana Business School while at a meeting launch the program with the topic, "Supporting Needy Students in the new virtual environment."
The initiative is one that was borne by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Professor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo to help equip needy students with technological equipment so that they can compete with their fellow students in the technological world.
The Vice-President, Dr. Bawumia while speaking at the gathering said "I’m going to commit to providing and supporting at least initially this One Student- One Laptop initiative with 100 laptops for the students”.
Ghanaians upon reading this had a lot of messages for the Vice-President. Almost all the messages are expressing their lack of faith in the Veep and the fact that he's not obeyed the numerous promises he made to Ghanaians.
