The National Math and Science Quiz (NSMQ) is the most prestigious science quiz competition held in the nation followed by the Sharks Quiz. The Central Region is known to host some of the most successful schools in the competition so far. Such schools include Mfantsipim School, St. Augustine's College, Adisadel College, Mfantsiman School who hold the record of being the only girl's school to be at the finals of the National Science and Math Quiz competition since its start in 1994.
This article will list all the 15 schools in the Central Region that have qualified for the National Science and Math Quiz competition this year.
Apam Senior High School has qualified as they beat Mozano SHS, Mando SHTS, Academy of Christ the King, and Assin Manso SHS.
Assin State College qualified as they beat Winneba SHS, Mankessim SHTS, Obiri Yeboah SHS, and J.E.A.Mills SHS.
Edinaman SHS also qualified as they beat Fettehman SHS, Enyan Dekyira SHS, Odoben SHS, and Enyan Maim SHS.
University Practice SHS also qualified by beating Nsaba Presby SHS, Methodist High School, Swedru School of Business and Awutu Bawjiase Community SHS.
Holy Child School has also qualified by beating Mfantsiman Girls SHS, Oguaa SHTS, Breman Asikuma SHS and Namanwura Community SHS.
Boa Amponsem Senior High School qualified by beating Komenda SHTS, Obrachire SHTS, Aburaman SHS, and Siddiq SHS.
Eguafo Abrem Senior High School qualified by beating Odupong SHS, Abakrampa SHTS, Assin Nsuta SHS and Nyankumasi SHS.
Mfantsipim School qualified by beating Bisease SHS, Nyankrom SHTS, Efutu SHTS and Gomoa SHTS.
Aggrey Memorial Senior High School qualified by beating Assin North SHS, Kwanyanko SHS, Senya SHS and Kwegyir Aggrey SHS.
T. I. Amass, Potsin Senior High School qualified by beating Jukwa SHTS, T. I. Amass Ekumfi, Twefo Praso SHS amd Gyaase SHS.
The last five were seeded from the 2021 National Science and Math Quiz competition.
