The Akufo-Addo led Government has make SHS looked very affordable with the Free SHS Policy which he implemented and made it work in the same year. Last year was the year for the first batch of the Free SHS students to write their wassce which was interrupted by the worldly disease, COVID-19. Due to the good measures put in place by the President, these students wrote their exams and passed well too.
Last year, the Government provided a four in one past questions for the final year student. He provided past questions of all the core subjects, i.e, English, Core Maths, Science and Social Studies to all final year student across the country. This I must say helped most of these students passed and pass well.
This year too, the Education Minister has confirmed that the government is going to purchase past questions for all SHS final year student again. According to him, there are some schools in the city which have had access to past questions but those who attend school in villages have not had access to some. He added that the best way to cure this is to distribute some across the country as soon as possible. He added that this will help them to read the Chief Examiner's Report and know how to answer questions.
"But for those of us who went to these ‘mushroom schools’, past questions was something we never saw. So this is an opportunity for our students to have access to Examiner’s Report, responses to previous questions so that they can study.”
What's your thoughts on this, how many months do final year students have to write their final exams and why is the Government now tabling to buy past questions for them? Drop your comments beneath and follow up to read the next interesting gists.
