The Ashanti Regional National Science and Maths Quiz started today, Saturday 22nd May, 2021.
A number of keen followers of the on-going 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz have stated that, they have not heard of Adu Gyamfi Senior School of Jamasi before. Their questioning of the whereabout of the Jamasi-based school was as result of the school's dominant performance in their regional qualifiers.
Adu Gyamfi saw off competition from the like of T. I AMASS Girls, Jacobu Senior High Technical and St Joseph Seminary. At the end of the contest, Adu Gyamfi had a resounding 44 points. In fact, the total points amassed by the other three schools can not knock Adu Gyamfi off their perch.
T. I AMASS Girls' had 18 points, Jacobu SHTS had 12 points and St. Joseph Seminary was only able to get 7. (Total 18 + 12 + 7= 37).
Some people have labelled Adu Gyamfi's contest as total walk over.
To those who may have not heard of Adu Gyamfi Senior school of Jamasi before, the has won the Ashanti Regional Annual Football Competition for five times. The school sends fear into the hearts of Regional Stalwarts like Prempeh College, Opoku Ware School, Kumasi Anglican Senior High School, Kumasi High School and perennial under achievers Kumasi Technical Institute at the Baba Yara stadium.
This performance by Adu Gyamfi Senior School will send strong signal to the likes of Prempeh College and Opoku Ware as the they are the only school outside Kumasi to dominate a co-curricular activity.
