Prempeh College is one of the best and biggest schools in the Ashanti region. It is located in Sofoline in Kumasi. The school has recently won the 2021 edition of the National Science and Maths Quiz. The school has overall won a total of five(5) trophies from the competition. The school happens to be the first school to also win the competition.
Some key politicians are really proud of being an alumni of Prempeh College.
Let us take a look at some politicians in Ghana that attended Prempeh College.
#1. John Agyekum Kuffour
Kuffour is the second president of the fourth republic of Ghana. He was on office from January, 2001 to January, 2009. He happens to be an oldest student of Prempeh College. He was a student from 1954 to 1958. He must be very proud that his school won the competition.
#2. Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh
He is a member of the New Patriotic Party and a Member of Parliament for Manhyia South Constituency in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. He also doubles as the Minister of Energy.
He is an old student of Prempeh College.
#3. Yaw Buabeng Asamoah
He was the Member of Parliaments for Adenta Municipal in the Greater Accra region. He happens to be a strong member of the New Patriotic Party. He is also an old student of Prempeh College.
#4. Kwabena Duffour
Kwabena Duffuor had his secondary education at the Prempeh College at Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana in 1958.
Kwabena Duffuor was also the Finance Minister of Ghana. He has also served as the governor of the Bank of Ghana. He must be really proud of his school.
