Nana's reply to the Afloa Chief; can you say the same thing to Okyehene? Taylor questions Nana Addo

The United States of America-based anti-corruption campaigner, Kelvin Taylor has waded into the controversy that has surrounded the reply His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo gave in response to the demand the Chief of Afloa made of the Education Minister to have the E-block school in his traditional area completed before the beginning of the next academic year. The E-block school which is among other similar schools started by the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama government is said to be around 90% complete. The Chief who is not happy about how the project has been abandoned by the Nana Addo-led government told the minority caucus of education during their tour of the facility, that the school lies idle as children of his traditional area struggle to get access to a Senior High School within Afloa.

However, in reaction to the Chief's statement, President Nana Addo, speaking on Peace FM 'Kokroko' show, questioned the locus of the chief to give the government an ultimatum to complete the school. He also said the Chief can continue the project if he feels it is delayed.

This response from Nana Addo has triggered a debate reactions from Ghanaians. Kelvin Taylor on his Loud Silence Show, said the President could not have said this to Okyehene. According to Kelvin Taylor, Nana Addo does not respect the people of the Volta Region. He also blamed key members of the New Patriotic Party who come from the Volta Region like Peter Amewu, Pius Hadzide among others for being the reason why the President does not respect the people of the Volta Region. 

Meanwhile, in the related development, the minority in Parliament has condemned the comments by the President and said they will use all available means to force the government to complete the E-block schools. In an interview with Joy FM Dr. Apaak, a ranking member of the Education Committee in Parliament said they will all legitimate tools available to them to hold Nana Addo accountable to Ghanaians.
