"Achimota School not on lock down" - GES responds to fake news

The Ghana Education Service has responded to claims that have been making rounds on social media and other news platforms, about the record of the deadly and fastest spreading Delta variant in the Achimota School. The news, which indicated that the new strain of the virus has entered into the School, further expressed that the Ghana Health Service and the Ghana Education Service have both agreed to put the Achimota School in a two weeks lock down, when no one will be allowed to enter into the school or leave the School's premises until the period is over. This is to ensure that the virus is contained.

Well, the Ghana Education Service has lifted the burden off the heads of parents and the entire people in the country. In post by GES in the afternoon hours of Thursday 8th July 2021, it has labelled such report as fake news of which no one should give credence to. Please find the Ghana Education Service' post below
