Education Service has come under so much criticism for some time now. There have been issues regarding impromptu reopening, vacations, textbooks, pass questions, salaries among a number of other myriad of education related topics. Captain Smart this morning queried why the Ghana Education Service and the Ministry of Education are playing with the lives of students. Captain explained that the education sector has lost focus. He bemoaned how the young ones believed to be future leaders are being trained.
Captain Smart touched on the fact that everything he was doing seeks to provide a better Ghana. He added that in this life he will never go hungry if even he loses his life but feels the need to caution the country’s leaders for mishandling things.
“If I am hungry there are people that I can run to for food. I am not after party money. I have my own money. No one is more NPP than me. Akufo-Addo is more NPP just because he is president. I have served in different levels in the NPP. If I quit working, I can still feed. What I am interested in is the development of the country. Things are getting bad. Now we can’t even tell the dates for reopening, vacations and midterms. You will hear the date and later they will change it.
The country cannot print textbooks for students and yet we can buy pasco. What is wrong with us? Akufo-Addo and Bawumia should come and answer this question. I want to ask them if this is how they will manage schools that belong to them? Adutwum should tell me whether this was how he was managing his school” Captain Smart queried
