Professor Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa is the Director-General of Ghana Education Service. He did an interview with the Accra-Base Peace FM and he has informed the general public especially teacher what they can use to teach students whiles waiting for the new curriculum-based textbooks. According to the Professor Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa, teachers in the various Basic Schools across the country can use the old textbooks for teaching in the classrooms whiles they wait for the new curriculum-based textbooks.
The Director-General added that, Ghanaian teachers must find their own ways and means to teach students in the classroom including using a mobile phone and other electronic devices as they await for the new National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCa) textbooks. He concluded that, NaCCA in the shortest possible time will announce the release of the new standard-based curriculum-based textbooks to teachers and the general public.
