National Teaching Council introduces the Ghana Teachers Licensure Examination in 2018. Since then a lot of graduate teachers have been recruited into the Classroom by Ghana Education Service. When they introduced the GTLE , the management of National Teaching Council has been given provisional license to graduate teachers who passed the examination instead full license. Some days back, the National Teaching Council came out to inform the general public that, they are going to issue the full license to all teachers who where recruited by the Ghana Education Service.
The management of NTC has now come out to release the date that the teachers employed after 31st August, 2018 will start with the registration.
According to the the management of NTC, registration of teachers employed after August 2018 commence from Monday, 19th April, 2021. The management of NTC added that, all qualified teachers who were employed before 1st September, 2018 are required to log on the NTC's Teachers Portal Ghana and register before 7th May, 2021.
The National Teaching Council also stated that, teachers who were recruited after 31st August, 2018 are required to pass the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination to merit the license and their provisional license shall be replaced with the full license. The management of NTC concluded that, employees who fail to participate in the forthcoming license and number registration of teachers exercise shall lose their right to practice as a teacher in the country.
