This is the first time the National Science and Maths Quiz has been hosted outside the capital of Ghana, The National Science and Maths Quiz is currently in Kumasi, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) the center of science and Technology in Ghana.
Schools in the Ashanti region have offered their support to the three schools in the competition, as the Ashanti region schools preaches (“Asanteman Nkosuo”) the prosperity of Asante Kingdom. The three schools from the Ashanti Region are Kumasi High School (KUHIS) Kumasi Senior High Technical School (KSTS) and Armed Forces Senior High Technical.
These Schools are facing a tough competitions from the giants in the National Science and Maths Quiz. Kumasi High School will have a tough with Holy Child Senior High School to make it to the quarter final stage. Kumasi High is facing Holy Child and Sunrise SHS.
Armed Forces Senior High Technical School is tipped to top their group to the quarter final stage as they face Sweduru SHS and Tamale Islamic Science SHS. Among the three schools Armed Forces Senior High Technical School stands tall and they are to win their group to make the dream of “Asanteman” host and win come to past.
The third school to make the dream for Asanteman possible is Kumasi Senior High Technical School (KSTS), KSTS will face Saint James Seminary, the giants in the Bono Ahafo and Chemu Senior High School, the only school from Tema in Greater Accra region.
There are 3 schools representing Greater Accra in the 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz, Chemu Senior High School, Saint Thomas Aquinas and Saint Margaret Mary Senior High School. Eastern region is represented by four Senior High Schools in the one-eighth stage and these are Saint Peter’s SHS, Apam SHS, Abuakwa State College and Krobo Girls SHS. Central, Ashanti, Eastern, Bono Ahafo and Greater Accra Region are competing for the trophy.
