UPDATE: Teachers Who Wrote 2021 GES Promotion Exam Should Take Note

An update concerning the 2021 GES promotions exam for teachers has been released by the Ghana Education Service. 

Information gathered from Ghanaweb archives indicates that there was an emergency meeting on Tuesday, 20th April at the GES headquarters in Accra about the way through for this year's promotion. The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Deputy Director in Charge Of Management Services And Assistant Secretary To The GES Council, Lawyer Anthony Boateng.

The conclusions from the meeting after a long deliberation are as follows;

1. The 2021 GES Promotions Examamination shall be released on 5th May 2021.

2. The passmark for the result stands at 50/75.

3. The marks for the self Appraisal has been abused by the professional and shall not count.

4. All ranks must exceed 50% but shall not exceed 52% Irrespective of the passmark of 50/75. 

5. Lastly if the pass mark for a category of rank does not reach 50%, the pass mark Shall be reduced for that rank till 50% of professionals pass.
