There have been many questions about the procedures in entering the Ghana Law School. Many have said the school has been reduced to just a privileged few. There have been calls that the General Legal Council only permits those they feel need to be there and not those who have qualified. In a communique released months ago the Law School mentioned that they were putting in place certain measures that includes no call for remarking and review of exams papers after the exams are written.
This brought some anxiety as some called on the students not to write the papers at all. The exams were scheduled for today, Friday, September 23, 2022 at 10am and interestingly the examination papers have leaked. Many are raising questions as to how come the papers got leaked. The exams are organized by an independent committee of the General Legal Council.
Is there some form of sabotage going on at the GLC or this goes to show that there are a lot of lapses in the legal system in Ghana? Does this go to show a compromised Judiciary like John Mahama said? Well, Ghanaians have been reacting to this breaking story of leaked papers. Many conclude that everything in Ghana is getting corrupt and so everything is possible. Indeed, the nation wakes up to new strange things happening every day. Check out some of the comments.
