Ghana Education Service: Education Minister Visits Selected Schools in Central Region

The Minister for Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, visited selected schools in Central region on Friday 23rd April,2021.

The purpose of the visit was to monitor the adherence to COVID-19 protocols, implementation of free Senior High School ( fSHS) policy and teaching and learning.

As part of the visit of the Education Minister, he presented five(5) pianos to five pretertiary schools. The names of the schools are St. Augustine's Practice, St. Monica's JHS, Okyeso Catholic Basic ,Baiden Walker JHS, and Elmina Methodist JHS.

The digital pianos were given to these schools to aid in the Creative Arts lessons which includes Music and other cultural activities. The pianos were donated to the Ministry of Education (MoE) by a South Korean company.

The Regional Director of Education for Central region in the person of Mrs Martha Owusu Agyeman expressed appreciation and assured the Minister for Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum that the pianos will be put to good use.
