The National Science and Maths Quiz is an annual science and mathematics content- based national level quiz competition for senior high schools in Ghana. It has been produced by Primetime Limited, an education-interest advertising and public relations agency, since 1993.
Every year, different schools pull up surprises at the contest. Last year, Achimota School, Wesley Girls Senior High School, Adisadel College and the great Presbyterian Boys Senior High School pulled up an excellent and brilliant show which won the admiration of Ghanaians. This year, there is a higher anticipation for all the schools.
However, there are certain schools who have showed consistency from 1994 in terms of their appearance at the National Science and Maths Quiz finals. Some of these schools are Presbyterian Boys Senior High School, Prempeh College, Opoku Ware School, Achimota School, Mfantsipim School and St. Augustine's School.
Several polls and predictions have it that Presec can win the quiz for the seventh time. However, I think that St. Augustine College will win this year's quiz. This is based on the fact that at all the trials that they contested, they won with a huge margin.
