As part of governments Effort of ensuring that all children of school going age gets access to quality education, the Municipal Chief Executive of Prestea Huni- Valley Dr. Isaac Dasmani has present 150 dual desks to the Education Directorate in his Municipality.
Presenting the desks, Hon Dasmani assured the Directorate that on behalf of government, the assembly would continue to support schools within the Municipality so as to help improve teaching and learning.
He urged the education directorate to ensure that teachers as well as students take good care of the furniture with a maintenance culture.
Dr. Dasmani also appealed to the Directorate to ensure that the desks serve it intended purpose so as to benefit the future generations.
Ms. Mary Vida Kwoffie, the Municipal Director of Education who received the furniture her part expressed her profound gratitude to the the Municipal Chief Executive and the Assembly for their kind gestures.
She said receiving the furniture was timely as it will go a long way to improve upon teaching and learning within the Municipality.
It will also help improve the confidence level of students , she added. She assured the MCE that they will take good care of the furniture so as to get more from the assembly.
