Since 1993, the National Science and Maths Quiz has featured many science schools across Ghana. Most of these schools are either category A, B and C schools. During the 2020 National Science and Maths Quiz, Many science schools performed marvelously well in order to secure a place in the finals, semifinals, quarter finals, etc.

Bellow are the top 20 Science senior high schools in Ghana according to the performances in the 2020 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ). 

1. Presbyterian Boys' senior high school (Category 'A' school). 

2. Adisadel College (Category 'A' school).

3. Opoku ware senior high school (Category 'A' school).

4. Accra Academy (Category 'A' school).

5. Kumasi Academy (Category 'B' school).

6. Boa Amponsem senior high school (Category 'B' school).

7. Achimota college (Category 'A' school).

8. Aburi Presbyterian senior high school (Category 'C' school). 

9. KETA senior high school (Category 'B' school).

10. St. Augustine's College (Category 'A' school).

11. St. Peter's senior high school (Category 'A' school).

12. Koforidua Secondary Technical school (Category 'A' school).

13. Ghana National College (Category 'B' school).

14. Prempeh College (Category 'A' school).

15. Holy Child senior high school (Category 'A' school).

16. OLA Girls' senior high school (Category 'A' school).

17. Kumasi Secondary Technical School (Category 'C' school).

18. Wesley Girls' senior high school (Category 'A' school).

19. Osino Presbyterian senor high school (Category 'C' school).

20. Armed forces senior high school (Category 'B' school).

The schools listed above with their various categories are currently the top 20 senior high school according to the performances of the 2020 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ).
