Abigail Yakubu is a 23 years old girl who live in a small village called Bowohomoden in the sefwi Akontombra district within the Western North region of Ghana. She when to sefwi Akontombra senior high School and completed in 2017. The main occupation of her parents is cocoa farming which is her only source funds throughout her education.
Her father passed away when she was about to start her secondary education in 2014. Her mother was the only person left to take care of her education.
In 2016 a tragedy happened to the family as Cocoa viral disease attached their cocoa farm, but fortunately she was heading to the final year so the family managed the situation.
She completed her secondary education in 2017 and with hard work and determination she came out with flying colors, a very fantastic results which could take her to any tertiary institution to study any program of her choice. After completion she left the village to Accra to go and work so that she can get money to pursue a nursing program which is her ambition. She worked as house help for for three years which she earns 150 cedis monthly.
In 2020 she was hit by another tragedy as her mother who she love most being strick down by a deadly disease , she had no option than to use the monies she earned all this years to pay for her mother's medical bills. It seems her nursing ambition is coming to an end and the only option left is to plead to NGOs and people to sympathize with her.
