Opoku Ware School is currently in a relaxed mood after the tough time imposed on them by Mpraeso SHS finally came to an end. Before the contest, one would straightaway choose Opoku Ware School as favorites without thinking twice.
Most people were expecting them to set a record with the schools they met looking at their pedigree and also, the fact that the competition is being hosted on their soil. These guys have won two titles and have made it to many finals of the competition so everybody tipped them to win. Some even claimed it was an easy contest.
The funny aspect is that, "name" no more counts in this competition. You can be class A school and still lose to a school from a class beneath yours. Everybody is literally producing the best candidates who are ready to crack fireworks in the competition.
Before the quiz, the Opoku Ware Boys had totally underestimated Mpraeso SHS. They claimed the school to worry about was Yaa Asantewaa Girls' Senior High School until round one started. Mpraeso had to place them in a very uncomfortable position as they were pursuing them like a cat chasing a mouse.
The noise of Opoku Ware School had been shuttered, the next thing seen was prayers everywhere. The rejected stone was the one who was rather causing panic.
Just before the last round started, Opoku Ware School was leading by only 2 points.
It is the last round which came to their rescue after they answered a couple of riddles correctly. They won, but I am pretty sure the word "underestimation" will be removed from their dictionary. What a hard time they had!!!
