The highest level of education is to be in the tertiary level. However, the cost of funding in the tertiary education should is a bit higher and expensive.
Tertiary education entails a lot which include, technical universities, colleges of education, Nursing and Midwifery Training Institutions, Universities and other Professional Training Institutions.
In Ghana, all university students do not receive any allowance. This makes them complain a lot because they are in the tertiary level and they should benefit from allowances from the government as it happened some years ago. The only tertiary education institutions that take allowance are the College of Education and the Nursing and Midwifery Training Institutions. They are those that take allowance. The University students are hereby wants to take similar benefit from the government because they even spend much amount of fees and other expenses there and at no benefit. Those who even take allowance will even be posted to their workplaces after they have completed their education.
In order words, to be in the university is the best but interns of finances, it is not good. We need help from the government because we are all Ghanaians and we need to be treated as such. An allowance of ¢500 cedis monthly won't be bad. This can help us to buy books for research and make ourselves comfortable at school. This is one reason Majority of Ghanaians don't go to university these days but refer the training colleges and Nursing training colleges
