The University of Ghana distance students and diploma degree students are required to register for some required courses before they are can graduate in the university. However, distance students are not required to participate in the matriculation as there would be an arrangement for them to do so.
Given this, every Distance Education Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science Administration diploma to a degree students admitted to Level 200 are required to register for the University of Ghana Required Courses(UGRC) in Level 200. A student in Level 200 first semester is required to register for Academic Writing 1 and Critical Thinking and Practical Reasoning.
For the second semester, students are required to register for Academic Writing II, introduction to African Studies/Chieftancy and Development, or Introduction to African Studies/Culture and Development or Introduction to African Studies/Gender and Development.
Students are to note that, the requirements for Bachelor’s graduation for Level 200 entrants which state that “A Student may take a maximum of 118 credit and must pass at least 102 credit”.Students can take elective courses in Level 300 or 400 to make sure they have the required credits.
