Teaching in Ghana has specific times it operates. Mostly, teachers especially at the basic schools work right from morning to early afternoon, approximately 7 to 8 hours in a day. Primary schools for example starts from 8am to 12pm whiles Junior High schools commence from 7:30 am to 1:30pm as a result of the corona virus pandemic.
Quiet apart from this, there are weekends, Saturdays and Sundays, which the teachers together with the students do rest. We cannot also forget of the holidays which are enjoyed at the end of every term.
So it's with this reason that I want to share with the public what as teachers we can double up with the profession.

1. Business. As a teacher, you can add business to your job. Once there's time for you either on weekends, vacation or other special holidays, you can engage yourself in to a business you think you understand well and can easily help you in one way or the other. On several occasions, I came in touch with so many teachers with this method who have now benefited from it.
2. Part-time teaching/ tuition. You can again as a teacher decide to engage yourself by either running an extra classes or getting a any private school for part-time tuition. This can also be supportive. One real thing we need to know is rich people try to add other sources of income to their jobs which financially support them very well.
