A 19-year-old final year student of Jachie Pramso Senior High School (JAPASS) in Bosomtwe District of the Ashante Region has been left behind with serious injury at her back after allegedly beaten by the school's Headmaster.
The name of the final year student has been identified as Mary.
Speaking in an interview on "Akoma FM", Mary narrated that they were in class when the Headmaster, Mr Adonko came and fished out one of their mate and wanted to punish him for indecent dressing. She then took her Jacket and gave to him to wear and cover his dressing, and the Headmaster told her to go and wait for him in his office and later came and lash her.
"Last week Thursday, we were in class and our headmaster was about to punish my colleague for dressing inappropriately so I gave him my jacket to cover up his indecent dressing then the headmaster asked me to go to his office and wait for him”.
“He later came to the office and beat me mercilessly,” she narrated.
The trending picture of the final student shows a lot of bruises at her back due to the trauma she suffered from the lashes.
According to mary, learning has become hard for her because she finds it difficult to sit on a chair as there are pains all over her spine. She added that her inability to sit and learn will have a big effect on her performance in the current ongoing West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
Many has described the action from the Headmaster as unprofessional and needs to be taught a very good lesson by the authorities of the education sector.
