UCC releases courses for 1-year-post diploma in education students second semester - Read details.

 The University of Cape Coast has released courses for the second semester for the one year post diploma in education students.

 Sandwich students are university students whose courses include a one year placement within a relevant industry, for example business, a science discipline or teaching.

 In Ghana, almost all the tertiary institutions offer a sandwich course. The University of Cape Coast however undertook a sandwich program for diploma in education graduands. The program commenced in somewhere December 2020.

 Participants were allowed to select courses as well as centres of their choice. However, they were urged to select the electives of what they offered in the training college.

 The program began with an online studies before applicants conveyed from near and a far moving to their various centers for the commencement of the face-to-face encounter. 

 Meanwhile applicants complained of certain challenges they encountered in the online lectures. Some of these challenges which was discredited by the applicants includes the likes of poor networking, unfavourable schedule of lessons, inability to join the zoom class due to the low capacity of accommodation, which they explain that the zoom class took only 100 participants at a lesson and any other person aside these number cannot join. 

 On their first report to their various centres, applicants took their quizzes and went back only to report later in April to write the end of semester examination.

 Meanwhile the University of Cape Coast has released the various courses for the second semester of the one year post diploma in basic education - sandwich program.

 The course for the second semester includes but not limited to Gender and Writing,

Educational Statistics,

School Management and Administration,

Introduction to Guidance and Counselling,

Statistics and Probability II,

In-Service Education and Training,

Micro Teaching.

 Student are also advised to select one elective course in their minor area.

 The directive will soon be displayed on the portals of individual students for them to register for their various courses, however students could use this information to know their preferred electives before the registration began.
