Declare Your Stand On Lesson Notes Preparation - GES Told

Teachers across the country have asked the Ghana Education Service (GES) to declare its stand on the writing/preparation of lesson notes with ink. This is after the Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Adutwum, declared in various interviews that writing lesson notes is not necessary in this modern era yet many teachers are forced to write lesson notes in 2022. Even teachers who have received their TM1 laptops are asked to write lesson notes.

Why Are Teachers Forced To Write Lesson Notes

Teachers across the country are still being forced by their education Directors, SISOs, and Headteachers to write lesson notes following the declaration made by the minister.

The Education Directors are saying that there have not been any official release from GES about cancelation of lesson notes writing.

Teachers take on the issue of writing or preparing lesson notes.

Teachers have asked the GES to as a matter of urgency declare its stand on lesson note preparation because they feel teaching in the classroom should be taken to another level and not the usual traditional way. Teachers in some districts have complained bitterly about how they are forced to buy lesson notebooks out of the meagre salary they receive.

Teachers across the country are therefore calling on the GES to declare its position on what the minister of education said about the writing of lesson notes.
