Update On NSMQ: St. Louis SHS and Three Schools Qualify For The Qualifiers in The Ashanti Region.

Today was really an interesting and exciting but tedious day for the National Science and Mathematics Quiz Contestants. 16 schools who are not seeded, came today to secure a place in the main National Contest. For today, four schools had the chance to qualify. This is the summary of the contests.

The first contest featured Adu Gyamfi SHS, TI Ahmadiyya Girls SHS, Jacobi SHTS and St. Joseph Seminary. The Contest started on a cool note and ended with Adu Gyamfi SHS leading with 44 marks followed by T.I Ahmadiyya with 18 marks and Jacobi SHTS and St.Joseph Seminary trailing with 12 and 7 points respectively.

The second contest featured Ejisuman SHS, Oppong Memorial SHS, Sekyeredumase SHS and Presby SHS who gained 40, 13, 11 and 16 points respectively.

The third contest featured Agogo State College, New Edubiase SHS, Dompoase SHS and Dedease Agric SHS. They fought a good fight and gained 37, 13, 15 and 23 marks respectively.

The last contest was a rather arduous one. It was between Tepa SHS, Berekese SHS, St.Louis SHS and Nyanhin Catholic SHS. It officially ended with a tie between St.Louis SHS and Tepa SHS. However, St. Louis broke the tie as the answered the tie breaker question.

Congratulations to Agogo State College, Tepa SHS, Ejisuman SHS and New Edubiase SHS.
