The Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta, has received backlashes from the populace after his infamous advice to graduates to get into entrepreneurship because of the choked public sector payroll.
The Member of Parliament for the Jirapa Constituency, Cletus Seidu Dapilah, has thrown some tantrums at Ken Ofori Atta. According to him, the public sector payroll is choked because all the close relatives of Ken Ofori Atta have been employed in the public sector.
Cletus Seidu Dapilah made this statement on 'HOT NEWS' on Pan Africa television when he reacted to the statement made by Ken Ofori Atta about choked public sector payroll.
According to Cletus Seidu Dapilah, the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta, erred for saying that graduates should venture into entrepreneurship because the public sector is choked. He said that the public sector cannot be full because there are a lot of graduate teachers needed in our classrooms.
He alleged that the finance minister's siblings and close relatives are all working in the public sector.
"They are in the public sector, so why wouldn't he say that the sector is full? When it is about their family and friends, they will create the opportunities and employ them, but when it is about the ordinary Ghanaian they will say that the payroll is full."
Cletus Seidu Dapilah added that he blames the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta, for the choked public sector payroll because he has not created the enabling environment for graduates to get financial support to venture into entrepreneurship.
