The West African Examinations Council has this afternoon 15th September 2021 released a press statement outlining the conduct of this year's WASSCE examinations. The students were supposed to write two papers today, Physics and Business Management, but the papers were outright not sent to the exam centers. Later in the morning, news of an alleged postponement of the exams were rumoured. People gave various reasons for the postponed exams. However, the examination body has released its full statement confirming the postponement of the two papers. WAEC also listed a number ways it has detected exam malpractices, and a number of schools they believe to have realized exam misconduct going on there. It also stated that it has outlined a number of measures that has been put in place to curtail exam leakages and bring all those culpable to book. Meanwhile another paper will still be written today as scheduled. The statement advised all students to desist from engaging in any form of exam malpractice.
