The issue of dreadlocks and school admissions had hoovered over Ghanaians the whole week. Eventhough the boy who is a Rastafarian has claimed that they feel down because of the decision of the school to not admit Rastafarians, nothing has changed with time.
It is alledged that the headmistress of Achimota Senior high school has still stood her grounds to not accept the boys despite the Ghana Educational Service directives.
The Parent Teacher Association Chairman of the Achimota school, Dr Andre Kwasi- Kumah, has testified their support to the headmistress of the school and has urged the parents of the Rastafarians to cut the hair of their wards ifthey want to be admitted to the school.
This old rule has been outmoded and even breeched by the headmistress who has admitted foreign students with long hair into the school.
What is your take on this issue. Do you support the headmistress and the PTA or you support the Rastafarians. See the circular signed by the PTA Chairman
