Ghana Education Service (GES) conducted promotion test for professional teachers in the country. They started the examination on 25 February, 2021 and ended on 26th February, 2021. Some of the teachers were able to take part but majority of the teachers were not able to take part. It was so said that the teachers went to the examination centers but they were not allowed to enter the examination hall. The information that came out says that, some of the teachers did not receive their Index number and other details required for a candidate to sit for the exams.
Due to this, the qualified teachers who were not able to take part in the promotion test are worried. But there is good news for all of them.
According to the Director-General of Ghana Education Service, Professor Kwasi-Opoku Amankwa, his outfit is going to conduct a supplementary examination for staff of the Service due for promotion but could not participate in this year's promotion test examination. The Director-General added that, his outfit in due course will announce the date for the forthcoming test.
Professor Kwasi-Opoku Amankwa who is the Director-General for Ghana Education Service also stated that, even though majority of teachers qualified to sit for the promotion test but they were denied entry to the examination hall because they did not have index number and other requires documents. So his outfit will not leave such teachers disadvantage.
The Director-General concluded by saying that, his outfit will at the appropriate time let's say in two weeks time conduct a supplementary examination for the teachers. And the index number, center and other necessary details will be communicated to teachers or the Service due for promotion. Please share like and comment on this article.
