St Andrews SHS had remained the best when it comes to WASSCE and just last year most of the students that sat for the WASSCE got 8 A's and with an average pass marks of 98% which brought them on top according to the WAEC statistics.
According to WAEC: A total of 375,763 candidates from 976 schools entered for the examination. This figure is 8.6% higher than the 2019 candidature of 346, 098. The 2020 entry figure was made up of 187,581 (49.9%) males and 188,182 (50.1%) females.
St Andrews SHS had the edge over the other top schools in the country and per the kind of facilities for teaching, prevention of Covid 19, discipline had remained the force to be reckoned with.
Sam John one of the average students got 92% marks in Social studies, one of the core subjects and a requirement for entering into the tertiary institution
He got 91 in maths, 90 in English, 94 in Science, and the rest 89, 90 and the likes respectively.
According to Sam John when interviewed : he isn't up to the preparation for WASSCE and he is putting in much effort to conquer the exams and get chance at the University of Education Winneba, one of his dream school.
