Corruption as they say, "Is the setback of any country". University for Development studies, Tamale Campus is not different as 2020/2021 SRC in collaboration with the local NUGS has spent a whooping Sum of Ghs63,175.47 on a single bus terminal and a relaxation bench at Tamale Campus.
As young graduates, who the University is training to take up leadership positions in the public office, is being engaged in financial Embezzlement or if you like " corruption" at this stage. This called for worry as the nation is trying as possible to minimize corruption in the country. As a Concern students, we are calling on the School Managements, Stakeholders, and BNI to come in and investigate about this allegation. And to ensure that, there is value for money.
The youth who are supposed to be the advocate for fighting corruption is now deeply involved in it. It is affront to the fight of corruption in the country. We want citizens to talk about it and called the management of the School, to do audits to make sure due diligences and value for money is achieved. The Students Representative Council should be investigate to make sure the culprits are make to face the law, to deterred others from taking the same steps.
That is the only way to show that, we are really fighting corruption.
