Opoku-Amankw is one of the best Director-General of Ghana Education Service that Ghana has ever had. He is still the current Director-General of Ghana Education Service. Prior to his appointment to be the Director-General of Ghana Education service, he was The Dean of the International Programmes Office (IPO) at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science And Technology (KNUST). He has done very well in the education sector. Most of the people in the country have even appreciated the work that Professor Kwasi Opoku-Amankw has done in the education sector. Due to his hard work, he has been elected as the vice-chairman of the non-profit-making organization (WAEC). The West Africa Examination Council made this announcement at it's 69th Annual Council Meeting this year. A report added that, Professor Kwasi Opoku-Amankw who is also the Director-General of GES started to lead as the Council's vice-chairman in March 2021 and it will end in March 2022.
