Opoku Ware: Three Final Year Students Arrested For Robbery

The high crime rates and robbery cases keep increasing day in and day out. You wake up today and you will hear incidents of robbery making headlines. Even though the police are trying their possible best to help curb incidents of robbery in the country, they still keep happening.

In a trending news today, some three finsk year students of Opoku Ware Senior High School have been arrested for robbery.

According to UTV reporter Sampson Kwaku Nyamekye, the robbery went on last Friday around 11pm. Two of the students are 17 years old whilst the other one is 19 years old.

He said that these students boarded a taxi and told the driver they are going to Golden Tulip but just when they were about to get there, one of them removed a knife and started struggling with the driver. They demanded that the driver gives them his car which resulted in the car hitting a huge tree by the side.

The driver then started screaming for help and people around came to offer help thinking they were involved in an accident but the driver was smart enough to shout that the boys were thieves. As a result the witnesses alerted the police and the boys were arrested. Initially, the police arrested two of them but after further interrogations, the third one was also arrested.
