Today, Saturday, May 29, 2021 marked one of the important days in the life of President Akufo-Addo. The president is in his second term as leader has already faced a barrage of criticism for his performance and that of his officials. The latest criticism was his boarding of an expensive jet which cost the country over 2.7 million cedis for just 23 hours.
Despite the criticism, today saw the University of Cape Coast honor the president for his excellence in leadership. The University conferred on him a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership (Honoris Causa). It was an unforgettable moment as the school paid homage to the President for his selfless leadership.
However, the question still remains, whether the president deserved the honorary doctorate degree. Some agree he is fit for the transformation of the country in the last 4 and half years. Others feel he has been a disappointment and not deserving of the honor done him. Whatever be the case his name will now be His Excellency Dr. Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo.
Congrats Mr. President. What are your thoughts?
