Akoase SDA Basic school Puplis struggle with dilapidated classrooms

Akoase is a community located in the Birim North District of the Eastern Region whose SDA Basic school pupils has been struggling with dilapidated classrooms.


According to the Chief, Nana Kwaku Boateng indicated that, the building has set a death trap for the pupils in the school and as a result of this pupils have to stay home for some time.


He stressed on the fact that wee smokers has now turned that place as their wee base, smoking, defecating and loitering the classrooms. They sometimes polished the black board with their feaces which is really bad.

And as a result of this many teachers has failed to come to the area to teach. They always reject posting which have created a major challenges to the community but he said measures has putting in place to arrest all those wee smokers.


He noted that the hygiene conditions in the school is very bad making some pupils to fall sick.


He therefore appealed to the government and Birim North District Education Directorate as well as the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) church for support because the school need a lot of infrastructures. He said the PTA Executives should invite the chief and his elders to formulate ideas to support the school immediately.


On his part, Head Pastor for SDA Church, Mr Samuel Amful said the church always support the school so left with the government, Stakeholders and NGOs to assist them to put the building into a better shape.
