Teachers Happily Make 4 More Sign After Akufo-Addo Promised Retirement Houses For All Teachers.

Some teachers at the just ended Ghana National Association of Teachers Congress couldn't sit down quietly as they raised their hands and waved at President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo with the "4 more" sign.

This followed the sweet promise from the President. According to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, his government is making plans for all Teachers to own a house before going on retirement.

According to him, the plight of Education and Teachers is on his heart. The President spoke about how his government has increased education expenditure from John Dramani Mahama's 20.7 billion in 2016 to over 40 billion. To him, the expenditure is to make education in the country better.

The President was in Kumasi as a special guest for the Ghana National Association of Teachers Congress. Other dignitaries on the same platform was the Minister of Education Doctor Osei Yaw Adutwum and the overlord of the Ashanti Kingdom Otumfour Osei Tutu.

In education, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo could be remembered for restoring Teacher training and Nursing training allowances, Free Senior High School education, Free hot meals for day students, Continuousl Professional Development allowance of GH1,200 for Teachers and a whole lot.

Teachers are trusting him on this one.
