The Krontihene of Denkyira Meretweso, Nana Kwame Bosompim II, has appealed to the government and philanthropists to help complete the Meretweso M/A basic school in the upper Denkyira East Municipality, central region.
The Krontihene made this passionate appeal after Dunkwa Traders Co-operative credit union had donated 20 dual desk amounting Ghc10,000 to the school on wednesday August 10, 2022.
Nana Kwabena Bosompim bemoaned the inadequate furniture, dusty classroom floor, lack of doors and windows for the primary classroom blocks and poor k.G classroom block.
However, the headteacher of the school, Mr Isaac Amoonu, expressed gratitude towards the donation by the Dunkwa Traders Co-operative Credit Union (Duntccu ).
He further appealed to individuals and institutions to support the school which includes the provision of computers, k.G block, urinal facility etc.
Furthermore, some students also appealed to the general public to come to their aid.
Again, the board chairman of Duntaccu, Mr. Abdul Razark Mumeen who presented the 20 dual desk to the school spoke through the medial to seek for more assistance to the meretweso m a basic school.
The general manager of Duntaccu, Mr Patrick Agyei spoke about the need for Denkyiras, institutions and individuals to help support the Meretweso M/A basic school.
