More to note about the Agogo Presbyterian women's college

 Agogo Presbyterian women's college of education has organised its 13th congregation ceremony on Saturday 22nd May, 2021 at the college auditorium. 


The ceremony saw the attendance of dignitaries including Prof. Adarkwa, the Council chairman, Dr. Eric Nkansah, representative of the minister of education, Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo ( Pro vice-chancellor, university of Ghana) who was the keynote speaker, the college Principal Rev. Dr. Grace Sintim Adasi, the municipal director of education, representative of Agogo Omanhene, Nana Frimpong Manso Adakabre who is the Adesuahene of the area and Nana Afrakomah Serwaa Kusi Obodum, Agogomanhemaa.

The college presented 317 students for graduation with 16 students obtaining first class, 71 second class (upper division), 112 second class (lower division), 85 third class and 33 pass.

The Principal in her speech, welcomed all invited guests and stated the purpose of the gathering. She took opportunity to congratulate the graduates, their parents and guardians for the pivotal role they have played in the lives the the young ladies.

"The construction of a new 24 - seater lavatory facility with facilities for people with disabilities and special needs is almost complete" she said.

She concluded her speech with stated challenges like poor road network on campus, accommodation deficit and urgent need of generator.


The keynote speaker elaborate on the theme for the ceremony "confronting the challenges of teacher education in a pandemic: the opportunity for the female teacher". She tasked the new graduates to aspire for greatness and embrace technology as a modern trend of teaching. 

Nana Adakabre Frimpong Manso stressed on the famous quote "If you educate a man you educate one person but if you educate a woman, you educate a nation", and adviced the graduates. He said their limit should be above the sky and that, they should proceed to do their degree, masters and PhD's.

"We should establish scholarship package for brilliant but needy female students" He said
