Ghana Education Service conducted annual school census for the 2021 academic year not long ago. Data on the number of pupils, teachers, furniture and classrooms were collected.
Ghana Education Service has issued templates and links to Heads of primary schools across the various Districts, Municipal and Metropolitan Directorates to collect data on enrollment of pupils in all public Primary schools.
Heads of primary schools have been asked to separate Kindergarten (KG) enrollment from that to the mainstream primary. The total number of boys and girls should be provided for both levels.
Heads of Schools have been given up to Friday, 2nd July, 2021, to complete and submit the data to their respective District, Municipal or Metropolitan Education Directorate.
The reason for this latest data collection exercise is not clear. However, Headteachers have raised questions as data from the 2021 annual school census should be readily available to the various Directorates.
