The ministry of Education has made a U-turn and want all government kindergarten to Junior High Schools to go back to the trimester System.
This came as a result of consultation with other stakeholders and committee members.The new dates for the various school terms are as follows:
1st Term
1st January -14th April,2022(14 weeks)
15th April- 9th May 2022(vacations)
2nd Term
10th May -18th August 2022(14 weeks)
19th August -12th September 2022(Vacation)
3rd Term
13th September- 22nd December,2022(14 weeks).
The private schools are already operating under the trimester System because it earlier rejected the 6 months period (1st Term) dirrective given by the Ministry of Education.
Government Learner Guiders(Teachers) are now happy beacause they earlier felt the 6 months period will burden their learners .Some teachers are also thanking the committee for taken into consideration their plight and have promised to make you of the Laptops
