The residents of Sefwi Dokukrom in the Bodi District of the Western North Region live in fear and panic after a spiritual pot was found on school compound leading to the closure of Sefwi Dokukrom D/A Primary and Junior High School.
The the juju pot was spotted in the early hours of yesterday Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at the center of the school's field, when the pupils reported to school for normal classroom activities, strange items were discovered inside the mystery pot.
Inside the pot was a head of male domestic fowl, seven colours of feathers, red liquid suspected to be a mixture of palm oil and blood, kola nut, cowries, white and red beads all wrapped together with red piece of cloth.
After staff meeting and series of consultations, the school was asked to close down for three-day purification to curb any misfortune on the pupils and the community as a whole.
According to the indigenes such a thing has never happened in the community before, this has been the first time they experienced that incident causing fear and panic in them.
Chiefs and elders have taken up the matter as they performed rituals calling on the owner to return for his possession else will face the consequence, while various prayer groups are embarking on 3 days fasting and prayers.
The pupil are likely to return to the classroom for teaching and learning hopefully by Thursday.
