According to student in Kaleo Senior High Technical School, their colleague's were sacked by the school authority due to UNLAWFUL ASSEMBLY which is not stated in school rules and regulations.
The student said that they were assured by the headmistress that, because the Ghana Education Service and Ghana Health Service had cancelled the holidays. They will be given exact of two or three days for them to go and prepare themselves for they had nothing in their trank to keep them on campus. And also they complained that the quality and quantity of the dining hall food was low, they have been taken Rice and Maize foods for the past Month.
On the 22nd of July, 2021 around 2:30 p.m. some students took their exact to go and meet the Senior House Master, if he would sign for them because the following week which is 26th of July, 2021, the student will be writing Mock and after the Mock there will be only 16 days to WASSCE, which student WOULDN'T be ready to go home.According to the student, When they got to the staff Common Room, they stood there waiting to meet the Senior House Master to confront and ask for his approval and signature. While waiting, there came the headmistress of the school, she asked the teachers available to gether around the student which they did. The student changed their mind and kneed on the ground and begged, they wouldn't go home again, but already the headmistress had asked them to write their names and hand over all school properties living the school text books.
In front of the Regional Director of Education in the Upper West Region, District Director of Education Nadowli-Kaleo and also as the CODE of Kaleo Senior High Technical School, District Police Command Nadowli-Kaleo and other recognized personality.
They told the student body that is because of UNLAWFUL ASSEMBLY which is not stated in the school rules book.
