Noble Dr. Richard Kofi Asiedu, the CEO of St. Andrews Group of companies has completed a three unit classroom structure, a staff common room and an ICT laboratory for the Fosco Demonstration Basic School in Assin Foso Municipal at a cost of 35,000 cedis after the PTA made the appeal to him.
The structure, which had been abandoned since 2010, had made teaching and learning difficult for one of the premier public Basic Schools in the municipality.
The edifice was handed over to the school on 20th August, 2021 to the relief of teachers and pupils
On why he made this gesture, Dr. Richard Asiedu stated that, it is the responsibility of individuals and corporate entities to support the development of their communities, witting "brighten the corner where you are".
Dr. Richard Asiedu encouraged the teachers and pupils to strive for excellence and improve their already enviable place on the BECE log over the years.
Incidentally, the wife of Dr. Richard Asiedu, Dr. Regina Asiedu, has also been organizing workshops for teachers and pupils in the municipality to help improve quality teaching and learning.
Dr. Asiedu further encouraged the youth to devote the prime of their lives to positioning themselves for the amazing opportunities of the new technological world, saying, "the youth must make hay while the sun shines brightly on them".
