School Placement: GES Task Heads of Schools to Regularize Manual Enrollment

Management of Ghana Education Service has instructed heads of Senior High Schools to regularize students enrolled manually in their schools.

Free Senior High School secretariat has been conducting headcount on the student information system(school management software for Senior High Schools).

Student information system(sis) is a centralized database for all Senior High Schools in the country, the (sis) contains students data, academic records and data of teaching staff.

The student information system(sis) also serve as E-Learning platform for students.

The headcount data is used by management of Ghana Education Service to take decision on disbursement of funds, logistics and foodstuffs to the Senior High Schools.

GES has served notice to heads of second cycle institutions to regularize manual enrollment through the online portal.

Heads of schools are by this notice requested to provide the information below online.

It is very important and URGENT.

1. Total number of SHS 1 students enrolled in the system

2.  Number of students  manually admitted (i.e students not on the system) who are in school.

NB. Students enrolled elsewhere are not part of this category of data we are asking for. The school should keep them if any.

NB. Deadline: Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 5:00 pm.

Some students are physically present in schools but are not enrolled on the enrollment portal, these are students who were placed in a different school but found themselves in other schools.

Heads of Senior High Schools have requested for the expansion of protocol slots to enable them to enroll students in their communities to attend school as day students.

The enrollment portal is still available online for the enrollment of backlog students, some parents and students have called GES to address student already enrolled in another school syndrome. The students claimed the never presented their placement form for admission.
