Popular known USA-based Ghanaian broadcast journalist, Kelvin Taylor, has blast the rioting Mensah Sarbah and Commonwealth students. He asserted that these students who have engaged in these riots in the name of hall traditions, will be sacked and later blame their poor grandmothers for their bleak future.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Saturday, 6th August 2022, he wrote;
"Your parents sent you to school to learn and at least position yourself for a better future. You are however on the University of Ghana Campus fooling yourself in the name of School Halls. Destroying properties and setting cars ablaze."
"When you are eventually sacked and possibly jailed, you will blame your bleak future on your poor grandmothers back on the village as witches." He said.
Kelvin added that he has no doubt most of the rioting Mensah Sarbah and Commonwealth students are TESCON members.
An inter-hall fight ensued between the residents of the Commonwealth and John Mensah Sarbah halls of the University of Ghana last night.
This was after one Sarbah hall student was beaten by Commonwealth Hall members during a Jama festival to mark their hall celebration week. A retaliation was made and soon vandalism begun.
