I Can't Work With You Because You Hate Muslims; Dabokpa Chief Makes His Stand Clear

The call for removal of Dabokpa Technical Institute principal, Madam Mariam Mahama have intensified as section of the Dabokpa community including their chief have petitioned the Ghana Education Service over what they described as "hatred against Islam and Muslims"

The petition which they caption as "Letter of Protest" was presented to the Northern Regional directorate of GES at a meeting to address the disagreement between the community members and the principal

According to the chief, Naa Abdulai Fuseini and the residents of the Dabokpa community the principal prevents Muslims in the school from observing Eid on the school compound which have been done for decades before she was sent to the school

The principal upon her arrival removed the Dabokpa-Wulana from the school's PTA Committee and also decided to demolish the only mosque situated on the school compound

Some of the students also alleged that the principal is maltreating them making it difficult for them to practice their religion in school there

However, the GES Regional director added that they are working with the board and their final decision will bring the two (2) parties together for the betterment of the institution and the students.
