How Bono Minister Stormed Examination Hall Unannounced In Berekum College

The Bono Regional Minister Justina Owusu-Banahene on Monday paid a surprise visit to the Berekum College of Education and St Ambrose College of Education respectively to interact with the principals and College staffs.

The unannounced visit was also to interact and encourage students who were writing their examination, checked the measures taken to safeguard the health of students, lectures and administrative staff, as well as the progress of the education in the institutions.

She was accompanied by the Regional Cordinator for the Ghana School Feeding Programme, Doris Asoma.

At St Ambrose College of Education where the students were receiving vaccines against coronavirus, she called on Ghanaians to ignore rumours against the COVID-19 vaccines and get vaccinated.

Speaking to the principals at Dormaa Akwamu and Berekum respectively, she averred that, government was working tremendously to improve the infrastructural base of the various colleges across the country in order to boost teaching and learning.

Justina Owusu-Banahene appealed to the College managements to "adhere to all the precautionary measures strictly and firmly in order to maintain a healthy and safer environment that enhances the academic achievement of students.

The Minister donated nose masks, sanitizers and other protective equipments to the Colleges.

The Principal for Berekum College of Education Mr Prince Yeboah Marfo disclosed that limited infrastructure remains a major setback in the admission of students to the College.

He said, although the College had stepped up preparations for the prospective students, they still need the intervention of the government to accommodate as many students as possible in order to face out the "in-in-out" system created as a result of the double stream admission.
